ELECTRONIC BUSINESS SOLUTIONS ANNOUNCES A WORKSTATION ADDITION TO ITS HLS SERIES OF HIGH PERFORMANCE, LOWER COST, SECURE COMPUTING SOLUTIONS

BILLERICA, MA .- May 10, 2004 -- Electronic Business Solutions announces a Workstation addition to its HLS Series of High Performance, Lower Cost, Secure Computing solutions. Based on AMD OpteronTM 64-bit technology, the Workstation is optimized for the Solaris Operating System to ensure the performance, through-put and fault resistance required in today's business environment. It also supports Sun's Java Desktop System.

The Workstation will be made available in two software configurations:

To ensure seamless compatibility, the Workstation is certified for Solaris x86 through the Sun Microsystems Hardware Certification Test Suite (HCTS) Version 2.3, released earlier this month (www.sun.com/bigadmin/hcl/hcts/hcts.htm).

The Workstation incorporates dual AMD OpteronTM CPUs. It features 2 Gigabytes of memory, a 160 Gigabyte hard drive, Gigabit Ethernet controller, serial ATA and Realtek ALC650 6 channel audio output. Also installed is the NVIDIA Quadro® FX 500 Workstation-class graphics card, providing the high resolution needed in engineering, scientific and medical applications.

Housed in a brushed aluminum tower case, the Workstation features low noise power supply and CPU fans, making the system suitable for the office environment.

"We have had this system under development for over 12 months because our research uncovered the market's requirement for a powerful and reliable system at a reasonable cost," said Fran Oh, Chairperson and CEO of Electronic Business Solutions. "We have created the ideal Developers' Workstation, as well as a robust and secure Workstation suitable for the Enterprise. Our collaboration with Sun Microsystems and AMD provides the marketplace with a powerful, yet affordable, solution."

The Workstation is supported by the entire suite of EBS Support Services, including custom configuration, application installation and system installation and support at the customer site.

"Together, Sun and EBS are providing a range of Solaris x86-based solutions, that deliver great performance and functionality at prices that won't break the bank," said Jack O'Brien, Group Marketing Manager, x86 Operating Systems, Sun Microsystems, Inc. "The combination of the mature Solaris OS with unique hardware solutions from our partners such as EBS is expanding the range of choices for customers and helping partners differentiate their offerings."

The Workstation joins the EBS family of HLS Series solutions, which include a 4-way 4U Rackmount Server and a 2-way 1U Rackmount Server, both based on AMD Opteron technology, and a Rugged Laptop that utilizes Intel Pentium P4 technology. HLS Series servers and desktops are available with the Solaris 9 Operating System, x86 Platform Edition pre-installed.

The Workstation has a base starting price of $2,995, with other pricing determined by the configuration selected. Initial shipments will begin in May 2004.
